Eight Gator Soccer Matches Set to be Televised in 2011

Eight University of Florida soccer matches are slated for national or regional television broadcasts in the 2011 season. This is the seventh consecutive season Florida soccer has made seven or more televised appearances.

The Gators will appear in two of the 10 matches scheduled to appear on ESPNU this season – the Oct. 9 Alabama and Oct. 23 LSU matches. Florida also makes a pair of appearances on Comcast/Charter Sports Southeast (CSS). The first is at Tennessee on Sept. 25 and the second is the Oct. 2 match with Kentucky.
ESPNU reaches over 73 million homes and CSS reaches 10 million homes.
More than 100 UF events or shows will air on SUN Sports or FS-Florida during the 2011-12 academic year and this includes four Florida soccer matches – Sept. 30 versus Vanderbilt (FS-Florida), Oct. 7 versus Auburn (FS-Florida), Oct. 14 at Mississippi (FS-Florida or Sun Sports) and Oct. 28 at South Carolina (FS-Florida).
