
Florida's Four 2011 All-Americans Honored at Saturday's Football Game

The Gators' 2011 All-American gymnasts – Ashan?e Dickerson, Marissa King, Alaina Johnson and Maranda Smith - were recognized at Saturday's football game.
The honors accumulated in the 2011 season by the quartet are as follows:
Ashan?e Dickerson
? Three-time All-American, earning second team honors for balance beam, floor exercise and all-around.
? National Association of Collegiate Gymnastics Coaches (NACGC) Southeast Region Gymnast of the Year for second consecutive year – only Gator in program's history to earn the honor
? Shared Southeastern Conference floor exercise title at 9.925 to earn All-SEC first team honors
? Led UF with 23 event titles
? Named SEC Gymnast of the Week after claiming at least a share of every event title at Jan. 21 LSU dual meet
? Shared UF's and the national season-best mark on balance beam (9.975)
Alaina Johnson
? Three-time All-American, earning first team honors for each event after advancing to NCAA event finals – vault (T9th/9.7875), uneven bars (T6th/9.85) and floor exercise (T5th/9.8875).
? Three appearances in NCAA Individual Event finals in a single season matches program record set by Betsy Hamm in 1998
? Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Year – fifth Gator to win the honor
? All-SEC first team after taking second in SEC Championships' all-around (39.375)
? Used the second-highest total in 2011 regional competition (39.525) to claim the NCAA North Central Region title
? Honored five times by the SEC. Named SEC Gymnast of Week after turning in nation's second-highest all-around total of 2011 (39.675) to win title at Georgia. Also picked up SEC Freshman of the Week on four occasions
? Second among the Gators with 14 event titles
? Owned or shared UF's season-best marks for all-around (39.675), vault (9.95) and uneven bars (9.975). Bars mark shared nation's highest in 2011
Marissa King
? NCAA vault champion with her winning average of 9.875. Margin of 0.05 over runner-up is the largest since 1998 NCAA vault final when Susan Hines (UF's last NCAA vault champion) shared the title with Stanford's Larissa Fontaine with a margin of 0.0625 over third place.
? Earned additional All-America first team honors by advancing to NCAA floor exercise final (T9th/9.85)
? All-SEC second team member after tying for second in SEC Championships' vault (9.90)
? Won seven event titles in 2011
? Collegiate-best of 9.975 shared the nation's high mark for floor exercise in 2011
Maranda Smith
? Shared second in NCAA floor exercise final (9.90). Finished career as a five-time All-American
? All-SEC second team member after tying for second in SEC Championships' floor exercise (9.90)
? Matched collegiate-best of 9.95 to share UF's season-high mark on vault
? One of six finalists for the AAI American Award, given to the nation's top senior
? Granted a sixth-year of eligibility in the summer of 2010 – a first in Gator gymnastics history
