Ast. Coach Alan Kirkup Assessed Last Week's Games, Previewed Weekend Road Trip

University of Florida assistant coach Alan Kirkup addressed the media Monday morning as part of the Gators' All-Sports Media Day.
Kirkup discussed last weekend's home matches, when the Gators fell to Florida State and rebounded to defeat Florida Gulf Coast. Kirkup said that the loss to Florida State was a great learning experience for the team, as they continue to improve team defense and work towards learning the defensive sets. He also said that as the team continues to improve, it should be much better overall when the calendar hits November and December.
The Gators (5-2, 0-0 SEC) begin a four-match road swing this weekend when they travel to play at Missouri on Friday night, before traveling to Kansas on Sunday.
