Gator Coaches Met with the Media on Monday to Preview Week Ahead

The No. 9-ranked Gators (5-2) begin a four-match road swing this weekend, when the team first plays at Missouri on Friday, before playing at Kansas on Sunday.

Florida split it two home matches last week, falling to Florida State (3-2), before defeating Florida Gulf Coast (5-0).

After playing five matches in seven days, the seventh-ranked Gators (7-2, 0-0 SEC) have just one match on this week?s slate, as the team begins SEC action on Friday when Florida travels to Starkville and plays Mississippi State.

Florida is coming off a stretch of playing three consecutive five-set matches against ranked teams for the first time in program. The Gators fell to No. 19 Iowa State at home before defeating No. 10 Texas at the Nike Volleyball Big Four Classic in Palo Alto, where Florida then fell in the final of the classic to host No. 3 Stanford after rallying from two-sets down.
