Knoxville is the only SEC destination that Florida doesn't own a winning record. The Lady Vols own a 2-4-1 advantage all-time at the Regal Soccer Complex and Florida last won in Knoxville in 1999. The last time UF visited for conference play was in 2009 and the teams played to a 2-2 2OT tie off of a goal from Holly King and the score from Tahnai Annis in the 86th minute to force overtime.

| The Florida at Tennessee match is the eighth road competition for the Gators through the first 11 matches of the season. That is one more than the previous high of seven road matches in the opening 11 contests set by the 1998 team and equaled in 2002. |
This will be Florida's second visit to Knoxville this season, as the Gators' split in the First Tennessee Lady Vol Classic in the second weekend of play. Florida opened tournament play with a 3-2 win over then No. 18 Texas A&M on Aug. 26 and lost 2-0 to then No. 15 UCLA on Aug. 28. Tennessee is the fourth top-25 National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) team UF has faced this season, as UF lost 3-2 to then No. 5 Florida State on Sept. 9.
The Gators opened conference play Friday at Georgia with a 1-0 win, ending the Bulldogs five-match win streak. Erika Tymrak scored the only goal of the match in the 70th minute to push her team-leading season goals total to seven. The Bulldogs had chances to score, but perhaps none as dangerous as the 35-yard strike by Jenna Owens in the final minute. UF freshman goalkeeper Taylor Burke showed why she will be joining the Gator track & field team in the spring as a high jumper, leaping to get a hand on the ball. She pushed the ball into the crossbar and it bounced down into the field of play where she gathered it up to end the tying threat.
No. 12 Tennessee saw its five-match win streak end Friday with a 2-1 2OT loss to South Carolina, ranked No. 24 by Top Drawer Soccer. Tennessee moved into the NSCAA top 25 after the posting a 1-0 win over then No. 18 Texas A&M on Aug. 28. The win over Texas A&M started a five-match win streak for the Lady Vols and the team's 7-2 record is the best ever start in the program's history. Sophomore Caroline Brown leads UT with eight goals and three assists for 19 points, including the goal versus South Carolina Friday evening. Senior Emily Dowd is the reigning SEC Offensive Player of the Week after her two goals on Sept. 16 versus Coastal Carolina. It was the second multi-goal match of the season for the Gainesville, Fla., native.
Sunday's match can be heard on WRUF SportsRadio 850, by simulcast on Cox Channel 946 (Gainesville/Ocala) or on www.GatorZone.com with Adam Schick calling the action.
