Gators Enjoy Media Training Sessions as Part of Overall Student-Athlete Experience
Thursday, September 29, 2011 | Women's Basketball
Attending a high-profile school like the University of Florida and interacting with the increased media attention that accompanies being a student-athlete can be overwhelming and unusual at times.
To help the Gators feel more comfortable in those settings, the communications office brings in a profession outside company each year to ease some anxiety and assist the Gators in projecting themselves in a more confident manner.
While the company focuses on social media trends and media interaction with new student-athletes, the group also talks to upperclassmen about job interview skills and preparing themselves for life after UF.
