
Jaye Howard Named SEC Co-Defensive Lineman of the Week

University of Florida senior defensive tackle Jaye Howard (Apopka, Fla.) has been named the SEC Co-defensive lineman of the Week, the Conference office announced today. The honor is the first of Howard's career.
Howard was part of a defensive front that dominated the line of scrimmage against FAU holding the Owls to 137 yards of total offense and a mere 30 yards rushing on 30 attempts (1.0 avg). Howard finished the contest with four tackles, good for second on the team, and a sack.
Howard and the rest of the Gators return to action on Saturday, Sept. 10, when they host UAB at 7 p.m. in a game that will be televised on Fox Sports Net.
