Kayla is a 5-foot-11 guard/forward from Decatur, Ga., where she played high school hoops at Southwest DeKalb and was named the 2010 Georgia Gatorade Player of the Year, as well as named 2010 Miss Georgia Basketball by the Atlanta Tipoff Club.
Kayla's freshman season as a Gator was limited due to injury, as she missed 19 games in 2010-11. She did average 5.6 points and 3.4 rebounds, while averaging 18.6 minutes per game.
She appeared in the first 14 games and 16 overall - starting the first six of the year, becoming the first true freshman to start a Gator season-opener since Sha Brooks did in 2005-06.
Kayla also is a great student and earned a spot on the 2011 Southeastern Conference Freshman Academic Honor Roll.
