TIME CHANGE for Soccer Match Sunday vs. Florida Gulf Coast
Tuesday, September 6, 2011 | Soccer
The No. 9 Florida soccer team (4-1, 0-0 SEC) plays host to Florida Gulf Coast on Sunday, Sept. 11, with the match now scheduled to begin at 2 p.m.
Admission is free to all regular-season matches at the James G. Pressly Stadium.
Sunday's contest will be the first-ever between the two teams. Both teams are the pick to win their conference, as UF will look for its sixth consecutive Southeastern Conference crown in 2011 and FGCU is the preseason pick to win the Atlantic Sun Conference.
The Florida Gulf Coast match is the second of the weekend for the Gators at their home field. Florida faces No. 5 Florida State (5-1, 0-0 ACC) on Friday, Sept. 9 at 7 p.m. FSU is the first top-10 team UF will face in 2011 and this is the second consecutive year both teams bring a top-10 ranking into this annual intrastate rivalry.
