
John Brantley Selected to East-West Shrine Game

University of Florida senior quarterback John Brantley (Ocala, Fla.) has been selected to represent the East squad in the 2012 East-West Shrine Game, the events organizers announced today. Brantley becomes the 36th Gator to compete in the prestigious event and the first since Drew Miller in 2007.
Brantley is coming off a senior season in which he passed for 2,044 yards and 11 touchdowns. For his UF career, Brantley completed 398 passes, edging out Gator great Steve Spurrier for 10th place on the school's all-time list.
The 2012 East-West Shrine Game will take place on Saturday, Jan. 21, at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Fla. and will be aired on NFL Network. For more on the game and for complete rosters for both the East and West squads please visit http://www.shrinegame.com/.
