2011 University of Florida graduate and former Gator golfer, Jessica Yadloczky, gained her tour card for the Ladies European Tour (LET) for the upcoming season. The Casselberry, Fla. native gained status by finishing tied for seventh (+1) at the 2012 Q-School at La Manga Club in Cartagena, Spain. Yadloczky carded a five round total of 362 (71, 73, 76, 67, 75).
“This is a wonderful stepping stone for Jess as she pursues her dream of playing on the LPGA Tour,” UF head coach Jan Dowling explained. “She has worked hard in the last several months, and we are so proud of her latest accomplishment.”
Yadloczky left UF as one of the most decorated golfers in recent UF history. She was named to the SEC All-Freshman Team (2008), All-SEC First Team twice (2008, 2009), NGCA All-Region Team (2008), tabbed a NGCA All-American (2008) and was also awarded GolfWorld National Player of the Week honors once. Yadloczky excelled off the course as well being named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll all four years as a Gator.
Yadloczky owns the school record for lowest round in school history with a 66 posted at the 2009 UCF Challenge. She also sits tied for second place in UF history for lowest tournament total (209), a record that current freshman Camilla Hedberg broke this past fall at the 2011 Cougar Classic with a 208.
