
Gator Baseball Announces Practice Times For Week

The University of Florida baseball team will practice on Monday (Jan. 30) starting at 2:45 p.m., Tuesday (Jan. 31) at 4:45 p.m., Wednesday (Feb. 1) at 2:45 p.m., Friday (Feb. 3) at 3 p.m., Saturday (Feb. 4) at 10 a.m. and on Sunday (Feb. 5) beginning at 12 p.m. at McKethan Stadium. Head coach Kevin O'Sullivan's squad began full team practice last Friday, Jan. 27.
The Gators will begin their 2012 campaign on Friday, Feb. 17, at McKethan Stadium versus Cal State Fullerton. Last season, Florida finished with a school-record 53 wins and was the runner-up at the NCAA College World Series for the second time with an overall record of 53-19. In a campaign filled with highlights, O'Sullivan's club shared the SEC Championship with South Carolina and Vanderbilt, captured its first SEC Tournament title since 1991, swept the NCAA Gainesville Regional and claimed the NCAA Gainesville Super Regional on its way to Omaha for second-straight season and the seventh time in the program's history. UF returns 18 letterwinners, including seven position starters and nine pitchers, and welcomes its fourth-consecutive top-10 recruiting class.
Single-game tickets for the 2012 Gator Baseball season are now on sale. Both single-game and season tickets can be purchased online at www.GatorZone.com/tickets or by calling the Gator Ticket Office at 1-800-34-GATOR from 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
