Frazier II Named SEC Freshman of the Week
Monday, December 3, 2012 | Men's Basketball
University of Florida guard Michael Frazier II (Tampa, Fla.) was named the SEC Freshman of the Week, the conference announced today. This marks the first individual honor for a Florida player this season.
Frazier tallied a career-best 17 points in the Gators' 82-49 win against Marquette. The rookie was 5-for-8 from beyond the arc. He became the first freshman to lead UF in scoring since Bradley Beal did so against Louisville in the regional finals of the 2012 NCAA Tournament.
The University of Florida men's basketball team is back in action on Wednesday, December 5 when the team takes on in-state rival Florida State in Tallahassee.
