Six Gators Named Inside Lacrosse Preseason All-Americans

Six Gators have been named preseason All-Americans by the Inside Lacrosse Face-Off Yearbook, announced by the publication on Monday.
Senior attackers Brittany Dashiell (Bel Air, Md.), Kitty Cullen (Rockville, Md.), senior goalie Mikey Meagher (Liverpool, N.Y.) and senior defender Sam Farrell (Millersville, Md.) all garnered first-team honors while senior Jamie Reeg (Atlantis, Fla.) and sophomore Shannon Gilroy (Northport, N.Y) were selected to the second-team.
The Gators have the most selections of any team on the list of any school and are coming off a record year in 2012, where they advanced to the NCAA Final Four in just the third-year of existence. They compiled a 19-3 overall record in 2012 and 5-0 in the American Lacrosse Conference, winning both the regular season and tournament championships.
UF was picked No. 2 in the Inside Lacrosse preseason top 20 and will begin the 2013 season on Feb. 9 at North Carolina.
