Florida Softball Releases Complete 2012 Television Schedule

Gator softball fans will have the pleasure of watching a possible 12 Florida games on television this season, as the ESPN family networks will air three regular-season games, along with three possible games for the Gators in the 2012 Southeastern Conference Tournament. The Orange and Blue will additionally appear on SportSouth, Fox Sports Florida, Sun Sports and CSS throughout the 2012 campaign.

Gator softball fans will have the pleasure of watching a possible 12 Florida games on television this season, as the ESPN family networks will air three regular-season games, along with three possible games for the Gators in the 2012 Southeastern Conference Tournament. The Orange and Blue will additionally appear on SportSouth, Fox Sports Florida, Sun Sports and CSS throughout the 2012 campaign.

ESPNU will air the first game of the three-game series between conference rivals Florida and Georgia on March 30, while UF's Saturday and Sunday match-ups with league foe Alabama will be broadcast by ESPN2 and ESPNU, respectively, May 5-6.

The entire 2012 SEC Softball Tournament, hosted by the University of Alabama at Rhoads Stadium, will be televised by the ESPN family of networks, providing the Gators an opportunity to reach a national audience in the quarterfinal, semifinal and championship games, should they advance.

In addition to ESPN's televised games, UF will appear on FOX Sports Florida for two Sunshine State match-ups, first when it hosts the USF Bulls March 28, followed by the April 4 road trip to Tallahassee for a tilt with FSU. SportSouth will also carry the final contest of the three-game league series with Georgia in Athens.

Sun Sports will carry the second game of the home series against South Carolina in Gainesville, while CSS will pick up the mid-week doubleheader between the Gators and LSU Tigers April 24 at 5 and approximately 7:30, respectively.

In addition to the Gators' 2012 televised games, fans, friends and family unable to attend UF's home games will have the convenience of tuning in to GatorVision.tv for nearly every Gator home contest held at Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium. As always, live online stats are available through GameTracker for every softball game, while fans can additionally tune in online or on the radio to 104.9, '105 The Game', with the call by Mike Gillespie or Adam Schick, along with former Gator All-American Megan Bush on the color analysis.
