There are times like over the weekend when you realize how much is actually happening on any given weekend in a major college athletic department. That rings even more true during the spring sports season.
Since it's impossible to watch every game or event, you have come to the right place. Let's get you caught up on what happened in Gator sports over weekend:
--The UF men's basketball team probably should have known it was going to be a long afternoon in Saturday's loss at Georgia considering the Gators received a technical before even the opening tip. Billy D was not too happy after Florida's 76-62 loss writes the AP via the Florida Times-Union's website. Good news is that the Gators clinched an SEC Tourney bye writes the Orlando Sentinel.
--The Florida women didn't fare any better in Sunday's loss at Tennessee in the regular-season finale writes the Independent Florida Alligator. Next up for the Gators is the SEC Tournament starting Thursday in Nashville.
--Gators RB Chris Rainey showed off his speed and versatility at the NFL Combine in Indy writes Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald.
--The UF lacrosse team had little trouble disposing of Detroit on Sunday writes LaxPower.com.

--The Gators women's track and field team added another SEC indoor title to the program's trophy case and the men's team finished second. Click here for all the details and list of individual performances from GatorZone.com.
--The No. 1-ranked Gators baseball team capped a weekend sweep over William & Mary on Sunday with a 5-3 win, once again getting a big hit from OF Preston Tucker writes the Gainesville Sun.
--The UF women's golf team entered the second round of the Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate Championship on Monday tied for seventh. Click here for details from GatorZone.com.
