Gator Baseball Announces Practice Times For Week

The University of Florida baseball team will practice on Tuesday (Feb. 7) at 5 p.m., Wednesday (Feb. 8) at 3 p.m., Thursday (Feb. 9) at 2:15 p.m., Friday (Feb. 10) at 3 p.m., Saturday (Feb. 11) at 10 a.m. and on Sunday (Feb. 12) beginning at 12 p.m. at McKethan Stadium.
The Gator baseball team and coaching staff will have an open practice and scrimmage, followed by an autograph signing, on Saturday afternoon. After practice and an intra-squad scrimmage that will run from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at McKethan Stadium, head coach Kevin O'Sullivan, assistant coaches Craig Bell, Brad Weitzel and Don Norris, as well as the players, will be on hand to sign 2012 schedule posters at Alligator Alley, located in the Stephen C. O'Connell Center's Dance Studio from 3-3:45 p.m. The Gators will also sign autographs following every Sunday home game throughout the season at McKethan Stadium.
This event will be held prior to the Florida-Tennessee men's basketball game in the O'Connell Center which begins at 4 p.m. Fans need a men's basketball ticket to enter the arena. A limited amount of tickets are available to the basketball game and can be purchased by calling 1-800-34-GATOR or visiting GatorZone.com. Parking is available in the O'Connell Center garage and is first-come, first-served.
The Gators will begin their 2012 campaign on Friday, Feb. 17, at McKethan Stadium versus No. 16 Cal State Fullerton. Last season, Florida finished with a school-record 53 wins and was the runner-up at the NCAA College World Series for the second time with an overall record of 53-19. In a campaign filled with highlights, O'Sullivan's club shared the SEC Championship with South Carolina and Vanderbilt, captured its first SEC Tournament title since 1991, swept the NCAA Gainesville Regional and claimed the NCAA Gainesville Super Regional on its way to Omaha for second-straight season and the seventh time in the program's history. UF returns 18 letterwinners, including seven position starters and nine pitchers, and welcomes its fourth-consecutive top-10 recruiting class.
Single-game tickets for the 2012 Gator Baseball season are now on sale. Both single-game and season tickets can be purchased online at www.GatorZone.com/tickets or by calling the Gator Ticket Office at 1-800-34-GATOR from 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
