Q: Now that you're an upperclassman and the team has been together for a few years, how do you think the team has grown?
Since we have been playing with each other for a few years now, we have become familiar with each other's strengths and weaknesses. Our team chemistry has grown and we've learned how to mesh together to form an extremely productive and efficient team.
Q: What are your personal goals for the season? What do you see as the team's goals?
My personal goal for the season is to be the best team player that I can be. I want to be there for each one of my teammates whether it is on or off the field. An overall team goal that we would like to accomplish is to exceed all of our expectations from last year. I see our team winning the ALC conference for the second year in a row as well as making it further into the NCAA tournament.
Q: What is your favorite thing about being a Florida Lacrosse player?
My favorite thing about being a Florida Lacrosse player is that not only am I a part of a wonderful university and beautiful campus but I am on a lacrosse team with the best players in the world and the best set of coaches any team could have.
Q: What are some of your favorite non-lacrosse things to do in or around Gainesville?
When I am not playing lacrosse, I am normally hanging out with friends or playing with my dog. I have recently joined a history program on the side and spend much of my free time around that office or going to local history events on campus.
Q: What is your favorite memory with your teammates, on or off the field?
My favorite memory on the field was last year when we beat Northwestern, and my favorite memory off the field was when we found a box of hairnets in the locker room. We decided to blast music in the locker room and dance with the hairnets on, only to have Rew Woodruff walk in on us. Rew was our life skills coordinator and career counselor at the time.
Q: Tell us a little-known fact about you…
This September I adopted a dog named Bella.
Q: What's your favorite class that you've taken at UF, and why?
My favorite class that I have taken at UF would be American History with Professor Steven Noll, because he is a very helpful and understanding teacher.
Q: What do you want to do after you graduate?
After I graduate, I plan on attending graduate school and studying abroad to further my research in European history.
Q: If you could take a trip anywhere in the world, where would it be?
If I could take a trip anywhere in the world, I would choose to go to Europe. I have been to Europe once before to play field hockey, but have never had the chance to explore on my own.
Q: What are your favorite tv shows?
My favorite TV shows are The Big Bang Theory, 48 Hours Mystery, and Pretty Little Liars.
Q: Top 5-10 most-played songs on your iPod:
1.) Typical Situation- Dave Matthews Band
2.) #41- Dave Matthews Band
3.) Lights- Ellie Goulding
4.) Dreams Be Dreams- Jack Johnson
5.) Flake- Jack Johnson
Q: What has been the key to integrating the new players into this team that's been together since the beginning?
The key to integrating eight new players into this team is being open to change. Every girl who has joined this program so far has had a positive affect on our team as a whole. Our coaches have selected great lacrosse players with amazing personalities on the side, which in my opinion makes it seem like we have known these new freshman for years.
