
Track and Field Solidifies 22 Spots for NCAA Indoor Championships

The University of Florida track and field team has qualified 22 slots (12 men, 10 women) for the upcoming NCAA Indoor Championships, the NCAA announced late Monday evening. The NCAA Indoor Championships take place Friday and Saturday at the Jacksons Indoor Track at the Idaho Center in Nampa, Idaho, hosted by Boise State University.
The 20 athletes and two relays (22 selections total) representing the University of Florida in Idaho tallies to the second-largest group of qualified athletes in Gator history (2004: 16 men, 13 women) to compete at the NCAA Indoor Championships.

Women:

Florida's men are the two-time defending NCAA Indoor Champions (2010, 2011), while the Gator women placed fourth at the national indoor meet in 2010 and just claimed the 2012 SEC Indoor Championship.
