Q: Now that you're an upperclassman and the team has been together for a few years, how do you think the team has grown?
Although it may not show in the number of players we have, our team has grown so much from freshman year till now. All the hard work we have put in has made us mentally tougher and has brought us closer as a team. We have unbelievable chemistry on and off the field and it is finally starting to show on the field.
Q: What are your personal goals for the season? What do you see as the team's goals?
My main goal this season is to help carry my team to the Final Four. I know how good we are and that we should be one of the teams in the finals. It is going to require hard work from each and every one of the members of our team, and I want to help by trying my hardest for us to achieve this goal.
Q: What is your favorite thing about being a Florida lacrosse player?
My favorite thing about being a Florida lacrosse player would have to be my team. I have made such great relationships with my teammates and I am so happy and grateful to be taking this journey along side my best friends.
Q: What are some of your favorite non-lacrosse things to do in or around Gainesville?
The best part about Gainesville is the weather, so I love being able to do anything outside.
Q: What is your favorite memory with your teammates, on or off the field?
My favorite memory would have to be beating Northwestern last spring. It was the best feeling in the world to know that all our hard work paid off and we had just beaten one of the best teams in the country. It was so amazing to be beside all my friends and share that moment with them. I was so happy.
Q: Tell us a little-known fact about you…
Hayley Katzenberger #24 and I went to middle school together and have been best friends since we were 12 and now we live in the same room! It's been awesome to share our college experiences together!
Q: What's your favorite class that you've taken at UF, and why?
I really enjoyed growing fruit for fun and profit. It was interesting learning about all the different types of fruit. We also got to try new types of fresh fruit every class.
Q: If you could take a trip anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I really want to go to Fiji. I saw some of it on TV once and it looks beautiful.
Q: What is your favorite TV show?
I love a lot of TV shows but my favorite would have to be Friday Night Lights. I'm in love with Tim Riggins.
Q: Top 5 most-played songs on your iPod:
The YMCA, The Macarena, Macho Man, Shake That Laffy Taffy, and Get Low.
Q: What has been the key to integrating the new players into this team that's been together since the beginning?
The eight new players we have this year fit in from day one. They have meshed and gelled with the rest of us so well and are going to be the key to our success this year.
