GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- The University of Florida athletics department has joined Google+, giving fans another option to follow and engage in Gator athletics (Visit the University of Florida Gators Google+ page).
The fastest growing social network, Google+ will allow fans to consume information, interact and take advantage of unique fan engagement opportunities such as Hangouts to discuss Gator athletics.
The University of Florida has developed strong followings on both Facebook, approaching 850,000 followers, and on Twitter, with better than 40,000 followers on its primary news feed.
