Thirty-seven Gator Student-Athletes to Receive Degrees This Weekend

A total of 37 University of Florida student-athletes will be earning their degrees in commencement ceremonies being held Friday through Sunday at the Stephen C. O'Connell Center on the UF campus.
The Florida women's basketball and soccer teams will each see four receive degrees this May. A trio of baseball, football, men's swimmers and women's track & field student-athletes will graduate. A pair from men's track & field, women's golf, gymnastics, softball, women's diving and volleyball will receive their degrees, while men's basketball, men's golf, men's & women's tennis and lacrosse will see one student-athlete apiece graduate this weekend.
Among the Gator graduates is Conor Dwyer, who was named the 2010 Division I National Men's Swimmer of the Year after claiming two individual titles at that year's NCAA Championships. Michelle Moultrie will also receive her degree this weekend. She shared the 2011 Women's College World Series Most Outstanding Player award after matching WCWS records with four home runs and 13 hits in the 2011 event. She and another May graduate, baseball's Preston Tucker, are both finalists for the 2012 Lowe's Senior CLASS Award.
A total of 21 graduates were part of Southeastern Conference Championship teams during their Gator careers and 29 earned Academic All-SEC honors.
