
Pair of Gator All-Americans Receive Degrees this Weekend

Two Gator All-Americans – Amy Ferguson and Elizabeth Mahlich – receive degrees this weekend. University of Florida spring commencement ceremonies will take place Friday, May 4 through Sunday, May 6, according to college assignment.
Ferguson earned All-America honors last month at the NCAA Championships, as she led off the Gators' floor exercise lineup with a 9.85 in NCAA semifinal competition. A three-time member of the National Association of Collegiate Gymnastics Coaches Scholastic All-America team, Ferguson will receive her advertising degree on Sunday.
Mahlich earned All-America honors for the balance beam in 2009 NCAA Championships' semifinal competition. A member of the NACGC Scholastic All-America team, Mahlich also was named to the Southeastern Conference Gymnastics Community Service team in 2011. Mahlich will receive her degree in health science and behavior on Saturday.
Both Ferguson and Mahlich appeared on the SEC Academic Honor Roll each season they were eligible for the award during their Gator careers.
