GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- The No. 1 overall seed Gators open their quest to return to the College World Series for the third consecutive season on Friday night against Bethune-Cookman.

The Gators defeated B-CU twice during the regular season. The Wildcats won the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference title and are throwing ace Rayan Hernandez (9-1, 1.96 ERA) in the first round of the Gainesville Regional.

Florida sophomore Jonathon Crawford is making his postseason debut for the Gators. Crawford is 5-2 with a 3.34 ERA.
