Mike Miller and Udonis Haslem earned an NBA Championship with the Miami Heat. It marks the second ring of Haslem's career and the first for Miller, who hit seven 3-pointers off the bench in the series clincher.
Mike Miller added his name to the list of Gators with an NBA championship, pouring in 23 points off the bench to help the Miami Heat clinch the NBA Finals with a 121-106 Game 5 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder. Meanwhile, Udonis Haslem picked up his second NBA title, having earned his first as part of the 2006 Heat.
Miller's memorable performance included 7-of-8 shooting from long distance, setting an NBA Finals record for most 3-pointers coming off the bench. Haslem joins Vernon Maxwell, a member of the 1994 and 1995 Houston Rockets, as Gators to win multiple NBA championships.
Four of the last seven NBA championship teams have had at least one Gator on their roster. In total, six Gators have gone on to win a combined eight NBA championships.
This championship marks the second time two Gators have been on the same NBA champion, as Jason Williams and Haslem were both starters on the 2006 Heat.
