Nine Gators Selected to Preseason Magazine Predictions

Nine Gator football players have been listed among the nation's elite in preseason magazine publications announced Tuesday by the Southeastern Conference.
Redshirt senior kicker Caleb Sturgis (St. Augustine, Fla.) highlighted the Gators with five 1st-Team honors from Phil Steele, Blue Ribbon, Athlon, Lindy's, and USA Today College Football. Redshirt junior wide receiver Andre Debose (Sanford, Fla.) picked up four honors and defensive back Matt Elam (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.) was selected by three publications.
Junior defensive lineman Sharrif Floyd (Philadelphia, Pa.) and redshirt junior linebacker Jelani Jenkins (Olney, Md.) earned two honors apiece to round out the student-athletes with multiple nods. Overall, UF has 23 selections among the five prediction teams.
