
Gator Lacrosse named IWLCA Academic Squad

The University of Florida lacrosse team has been named an Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Academic Squad for the 2012 season, announced this week.
UF is one of 42 Division I schools to be named to the list with a qualifying team GPA of a 3.0 or higher as they completed the 2011-12 academic year with a 3.29 GPA. The Gators have been named an IWLCA Academic Squad for the third consecutive year in a row, which is every year in program history. They have also been honored with numerous academic awards in the postseason including 15 named to the SEC Honor Roll and six on the SEC First-Year Honor Roll. 21 Gators also earned spots on the ALC Academic Honor Roll.
