FIU Scores Victory Over FAMU 3-1 in Campus USA Credit Union Invite

GAINESVILLE - The Florida International volleyball team earned its first victory of the season Saturday night after defeating Florida A&M, 3-1 (23-25, 25-21, 25-17, 25-20), in the O'Connell Center.

FIU battled back from a first set loss to the Rattlers to win three straight sets on the back of a 20 kill performance by Lucia Castro. The Panthers had three players in double-digit kill totals to move to 1-2 on the season. FAMU falls to 0-3 on the year.

The No. 18/20 Florida Gators will be in action shortly to close out the Campus USA Credit Union Invite as they take on Florida Gulf Coast. The match can be seen live on Gatorvision and live stats for the match can also be found on GatorZone.com.
