Jenkins to test injured thumb in a cast at practice next week

Gators linebacker Jelani Jenkins continues to make progress from the broken right thumb he suffered Sept. 8 at Texas A&M.
Jenkins has missed the last two games but is on pace to return to practice next week. He had a pin removed from his surgically repaired thumb on Friday.
"Jelani will be casted today and will practice Wednesday with a cast. He will then be re-evaluated and his status determined for the LSU game after that,'' Gators coach Will Muschamp said Friday. "There is no guarantee right now that he can play. We will know more late next week."
