Florida's Karina Gutsche named to Top Drawer Soccer National Team of the Week

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – After helping the Gators' to a pair of shutout wins last weekend, Florida junior center back Karina Gutsche (Lithia, Fla.) is part of Top Drawer Soccer's National Team of the Week.

She is the third Gator honored by the outlet this season, as freshman Savannah Jordan was Top Drawer Soccer's National Player of the Week on Aug. 27 and fellow center back Christen Westphal was named to the Sept. 11 team of the week.
With 3-0 wins over No. 23 Kentucky and LSU last weekend, the Gators are now on a stretch of four consecutive shutout wins. Last weekend, Gutsche helped limit the opponents to a combined total of 10 shots. Gutsche has started every match at center back this season and is second among the 2013 Gators with her 87.63 minutes per match average.
The Gators' final full weekend of league play is an away-home weekend. Play begins at Tennessee (7-6-3, 2-4-2 SEC) on Friday, Oct. 25. Match time is set for 7 p.m. ET at the Regal Soccer Stadium. Friday's match airs live on SUN Sports (Gainesville/Ocala Cox cable 1048).
Then the Gators return home to play host to SEC leader Texas A&M (12-3-1, 7-1 SEC) on Sunday, Oct. 27. Match time is set for 3 p.m. at the James G. Pressly Stadium and admission is free.
