Basketball is back in full swing as the University of Florida's men's team is officially underway and 12 former Gators have been in action for two weeks with their respective NBA teams.
Bradley Beal, Washington Wizards
Beal has emerged as the leading scorer for the Wizards, averaging 19.3 ppg over the last seven games and dropping a career-high 34 points against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Nov. 10. The Wizards face the San Antonio Spurs tonight at 8:30 p.m.
Matt Bonner, San Antonio Spurs
Bonner has come off the bench in just three games for the Spurs and is averaging 3.7 ppg.
Corey Brewer, Minnesota Timberwolves
Through eight games, Brewer has started in all contests thus far and is fourth on the team in scoring, averaging 13.4 ppg. The Timberwolves take on the Cleveland Cavaliers at 8 p.m. tonight.
Nick Calathes, Memphis Grizzles
Calathes has competed in five games for the Grizzlies, playing 25 minutes and going 2-for-5 from the field with six assists against the Indiana Pacers on Nov. 11. The Grizzlies host the Toronto Raptors tonight at 8 p.m.
Udonis Haslem, Miami Heat
Starting in six games for the Heat, Haslem is averaging 3.0 ppg and 2.5 rpg. The Heat take on the Dallas Mavericks on Friday at 7:30 p.m. in Miami.
Al Horford, Atlanta Hawks
Continuing to have stellar success for the Hawks, Horford leads four of the six major categories including scoring, rebounds, steals and blocks. He is averaging 18.9 ppg, 9.7 rpg, 1.9 spg, and 2.3 bpg. The Hawks will battle the New York Knicks tonight at 8 p.m.
David Lee, Golden State Warriors
Lee has started in all eight contests for the Warriors and continues to lead the team in rebounding, averaging 9.4 rpg. Currently, Lee is averaging 18.0 ppg, scoring double-digit points in all eight games. The Warriors face the Oklahoma City Thunder tomorrow night at 10:30 p.m.
Mike Miller, Memphis Grizzlies
Off of the bench, Miller is averaging 8.6 ppg, 4.7 rpg and 2.7 apg for the Grizzlies. Miller put up a season-high15 points in a victory over the Warriors on Nov. 9
Erik Murphy, Chicago Bulls
Murphy has now competed in two games for the Bulls, making his NBA debut against the Indiana Pacers on Nov. 6. Murphy only played one minute of action, but has since played against the Utah Jazz, grabbing two boards and blocking one shot. Chicago takes on Toronto Friday night at 7 p.m.
Joakim Noah, Chicago Bulls
Continuing to lead the team in rebounding, Noah is averaging 9.5 rpg and has started in all six contests thus far. Noah has not collected a double-double yet this year, but has come close pulling down eight rebounds and putting up 14 points in a win over the Jazz on Nov. 8.
Chandler Parsons, Houston Rockets
Parsons is currently listed as day-to-day after hurting his back and will be a game-time decision tonight against the Philadelphia 76ers at 7 p.m. He ranks fourth on the team in scoring, averaging 15.4 ppg. He has started in all eight games for the Rockets so far.
Marreese Speights, Golden State Warriors
Speights has played in eight games for the Warriors, averaging 5.5 ppg and 4.3 rpg. He grabbed eight boards and added eight points in a victory over Philadelphia on Nov. 6.
