10 Gators Invited to the 2013 NFL Combine

The Florida football program had 10 players invited to participate in the 2013 NFL Scouting Combine, which takes place Feb. 20-26 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. Over the six days, players will be put through a series of drills, tests and interviews with more than 600 NFL personnel, including head coaches, general managers and scouts.
Florida's total of 10 invitees is the most since the 2010 NFL Combine and tied with Alabama for the third-most players invited from any school (LSU had 13; Georgia had 11). Overall, there were 333 players invited to participate in this year's combine.
Of the Gators' 10 players invited to the event, six were seniors this past season while four are early entrants following their junior season.

About the NFL Scouting Combine
Participants are determined annually by a Selection Committee. The Directors of both National and BLESTO scouting services, which combined represent twenty-five NFL teams, are joined by members of various NFL player personnel departments to form the committee. The participating NFL executives can rotate on a yearly basis, and remain anonymous. All eligible players are reviewed and voted on by the committee members. Each athlete receiving the necessary number of votes, by position, is then extended an invitation. While it is not a perfect science, the goal of the committee is to invite every player that will be drafted in the ensuing NFL Draft.
