
Gators Officially Add Transfer Eli Carter from Rutgers

The University of Florida has received official notification from Eli Carter (Paterson, N.J.) of his intent to transfer to UF and join the men's basketball team.
“Eli is a great addition to our team, and we're pleased he's a Gator now,” head coach Billy Donovan said.
“I'm excited to get down to Florida, and I can't wait to start gelling with the team and the coaches,” Carter said.
The 6-foot-2, 195-pound Paterson, N.J. native played two years at Rutgers and holds a 14.3 career scoring average in 56 games, including 46 starts. He was the Scarlet Knights' top scorer in each of the past two seasons with 14.9 points per game as a sophomore in 2012-13 and 13.8 during his freshman campaign in 2011-12. He is a career .398 shooter, including .338 from 3-point range, and averages 3.0 rebounds per game.
