Gators Close Out Regular Season with 10 Top-10 Finishes at FSU

Nine Gators turned in 10 top-10 tallies as a small contingent competed at the Seminole Twilight at Mike Long Track on the campus of FSU.
Sophomore jumper Marquis Dendy (Middletown, Del.) captured the men's long jump title with his leap of 8.00m/26-3 and added to his evening by nabbing a runner-up finish in the men's triple jump with a mark of 15.49m/50-10, just an inch and a half short of his season's best.
2011 SEC Champion in the women's javelin Fawn Miller (Stoneboro, Pa.) registered a season's best performance, throwing 52.67m/172-9 to finish second overall in the event heading into the Southeastern Conference Championships.
The Gators swept the hammer throw, as both sophomore Jayla Bostic (Wellington, Fla.) and Jeremy Postin (Andover, Kan.) won their respective events. Bostic tossed a mark of 58.33m/191-4 to best the field while Postin teamed up with fellow Gators Kyle Strawn (Temecula, Calif.) and David Levin (Altamonte Springs, Fla.) to go 1-2-3 in the event. Postin recorded a mark of 66.08m/216-9, while Strawn and Levin put up marks of 60.71m/199-2 and 57.81m/189-8, respectively.
This weekend was the final weekend of the regular season for the Orange and Blue, as the No. 1 Florida men and No. 3 UF women are readying themselves for the 2013 Southeastern Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships at Mizzou's Audrey J. Walton Stadium. The four-day meet is slated for Thursday-Sunday, May 9-12.
