Athletic Trainer Dave Werner Honored by Alma Mater

University of Florida Associate Director of Sports Health and men's basketball athletic trainer Dave Werner has been named the 2013 Outstanding Alumnus of the Year by Eastern Kentucky University's Department of Exercise and Sport Sciences.
Werner, a 1991 graduate of EKU, has been working with Gator athletics for the past 19 years, spending his first 10 years at UF as the baseball team's trainer before moving into his role with the men's basketball team prior to the 2004-05 season.
Werner has had 11 future NBA draft picks under his care to date and also worked with 11 eventual major leaguers while with Gator baseball.
