UF Baseball's Jonathon Crawford & Justin Shafer Chosen To NCAA Regional All-Tourney Team

Junior right-hander Jonathon Crawford (Okeechobee, Fla.) and sophomore right fielder Justin Shafer (Lake Wales, Fla.) were chosen to the 2013 NCAA Bloomington Regional All-Tournament squad announced on Sunday night. Host Indiana captured the Regional with a perfect 3-0 mark and will face Florida State in the NCAA Tallahassee Super Regional for a berth in the College World Series.
During the Gators' opening-round contest on Friday afternoon, Crawford limited second-seeded Austin Peay to one run and four hits over 6.1 innings and registered five strikeouts. He was in line for the victory before the Govs overcame a 3-1 deficit with a three-run homer in the eighth inning to notch a 4-3 triumph.
Shafer was 4-for-8 (.500) over Florida's two outings at Bart Kaufman Field, highlighted by a three-run round-tripper in the sixth inning versus APSU that had moved the Orange and Blue in front by a 3-1 score. In Saturday's elimination game against Valparaiso, he went 3-for-5 with singles in the third, seventh and ninth frames.
