
Five Gator Baseball Players Named To First-Year SEC Academic Honor Roll

Five members of the Gator baseball team were named to the 2012-13 Southeastern Conference First-Year Academic Honor Roll on Monday. This group includes outfielder Raph Andrades (Tallahassee, Fla.), infielder/outfielder Richie Martin (Brandon, Fla.), catcher Kevin Stypulkowski (Lake Worth, Fla.), right-hander Mike Vinson (Miami, Fla.) and left-hander Danny Young (Boca Raton, Fla.). The total gives Florida 29 SEC First-Year Academic Honor Roll recipients in head coach Kevin O'Sullivan's six-year tenure.
Each student-athlete must 1) have a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or above at the nominating institution; 2) be on scholarship or a letterwinner; 3) have completed 24 semester hours of non-remedial credit at the nominating institution; and 4) have been a member of the varsity team for the sport's entire NCAA Championship segment.
The 2012-13 SEC First-Year Academic Honor Roll is based on grades from the 2012-13 academic calendar.
