Jones Named to Doak Walker Award Watch List

University of Florida running back Matt Jones has been named to the 2013 Doak Walker Award watch list, as announced by the PwC SMU Athletic Forum on Thursday. The award is presented annually to the nation's top college running back.
Jones, a sophomore from Seffner, Fla., finished third on the team in 2012 with 275 rushing yards and three touchdowns as a true freshman, seeing action in 12 games.
Semifinalists for the 2013 Doak Walker Award will be named on November 14, and the finalists will be announced on November 25. The recipient of the 2013 Doak Walker Award will be announced live on The Home Depot College Football Awards on Thursday, December 12, on ESPN. The Doak Walker Award Presentation Banquet will be held in Dallas, Texas, in February 2013.
