
Ten Gators earn NACGC Scholastic All-America honors

Ten members of the University of Florida's NCAA Championship team were recognized by the National Association of Collegiate Gymnastics Coaches (NACGC) for their 2012-13 grade point averages. The NACGC recognizes the academic accomplishments of collegiate gymnastics teams each season. The Gators posted a 3.4283 cumulative team GPA for the 2012-13 academic year.
The 10 members of the 2013 Gator gymnastics team who earned spots on the NACGC Scholastic All-America team are.

To qualify for the NACGC Scholastic All-America team, a gymnast must have a GPA of 3.50 for either the preceding academic year or have a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or above at the nominating institution.
Johnson, the 2013 NCAA uneven bars champion, and Rose make their third consecutive NACGC Scholastic All-America appearance in 2013. Shisler, Spicer and Wang are part of the list for the second straight season.
In 2013, the Gator gymnastics team won both the Southeastern Conference and NCAA Championships. Six Gators equaled the school record total of 16 All-America honors in NCAA action.
