2013 Florida Softball Fall Exhibition Schedule
GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Under the tutelage of 2013 SEC Coach of the Year Tim Walton, the 2013-14 Gator softball squad will kick off its eight-game fall exhibition schedule Sunday, Sept. 29, at Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium with a 1 p.m. doubleheader against Gainesville opponent Santa Fe College.
Entering his ninth season at the helm of the Florida softball program, Walton and his coaching staff will debut a handful of newcomers, while Gator fans will have the chance to see all their favorites from UF's 2013 Women's College World Series squad.
Led by seniors Hannah Rogers and Stephanie Tofft, the Orange and Blue will square off with Santa Fe College four times this fall, while hosting both Georgia Highlands College and Chipola College in two Sunday doubleheaders.
Last season, the Gators led the country in wins and went 58-9, advancing to the Women's College World Series in Oklahoma City for the fifth time in six years. Florida chalked up its fifth 50-win season in program history and swept both the SEC regular season and SEC Tournament titles.
All fall exhibition games will be held at Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium. Admission is free.
