Reed and Sturgis Named to NFL All-Rookie Team

Former Gator football players Jordan Reed and Caleb Sturgis were voted to the Professional Football Writers of America (PFWA) All-Rookie Team, announced on Tuesday. Florida was one of four schools to have two rookies chosen for the team.
Reed, a tight end drafted in the fourth round, missed seven games during the season due to injury, but he finished with 45 receptions and 499 receiving yards, both Redskins' single-season rookie tight end records. His 499 receiving yards were second in the NFL among all rookie tight ends and seventh among rookies overall. Reed also scored three touchdowns on the year.
Sturgis, the highest kicker drafted in 2013, started the season 10-for-10 on field goal tries, including a 3-for-3 performance in his NFL debut against the Cleveland Browns. He finished the season making 26-of-34 field goals and all 33 of his extra points. He also had 38 kickoffs go for touchbacks.
