
Marcus Roberson to Participate in 2014 Quicken Loans All-Star Football Challenge

Former University of Florida cornerback Marcus Roberson will participate in the 2014 Quicken Loans All-Star Football Challenge, an exciting skills competition featuring college football's brightest stars. The 16th annual program is scheduled to air Tuesday, Jan. 28, at 9 p.m. ET on ESPN2 and will have an encore airing on ESPN2 at 2 p.m. ET on Feb. 2. ESPN will also air an encore at 4 p.m. ET on April 27.
Roberson will participate in the Skechers Hands Competition against Alabama's Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, Oklahoma State's Justin Gilbert and Ohio State's Bradley Roby. Former Gator Matt Elam participated in the same event last year, while former UF kicker Caleb Sturgis competed in the Speed Kick in 2013.
Roberson battled injuries during the 2013 season and recorded 11 tackles and three pass break-ups in seven games for the Gators. A Second Team All-Southeastern Conference pick in 2012, Roberson finished second in the league that season with 14 passes defended. During the 2012 campaign, he tallied 12 pass break-ups, a total that tied for sixth on Florida's single-season chart.
Individual events in the 2014 Quicken Loans All-Star Football Challenge include: Quicken Loans QB Accuracy, Skechers Hands Competition, Mercedes-Benz Lineman Strength Challenge, Eckrich Obstacle Course and TD Ameritrade Speed Kick. To conclude the program, the players will be divided into three teams for The Quicken Loans Team Competition.
