
No. 2 Women's Tennis hosts UCF Wednesday

The second-ranked Florida women's tennis team (2-0) plays host to UCF (1-0) on Wednesday at the Ring Tennis Complex, where admission is free. First serve is scheduled for 3 p.m.
Parking for the match is FREE in the UF Law School parking lot
The Series vs. UCF
· Florida is 11-0 all-time against UCF, including last year's 7-0 victory on Jan. 30.
· All 11 matches in the series have been played in Gainesville
· UCF is coached by Gator great Stephanie Nickitas
Florida vs. In-State Opponents
· Florida owns an impressive 196-33 record against in-state rivals and has reeled off 18 straight victories against Sunshine State opponents, with the most recent a 4-0 win against Florida State on March 6, 2013 in Tallahassee.
· The Gators' last loss to an instate foe was a 5-2 decision on Feb. 28, 2009 against Florida State in Tallahassee.
126 and Counting
· Florida (2-0 at home this season) has won 126 consecutive regular-season home matches - not including SEC Tournament or NCAA Championship events. The current streak is the longest of its kind in program history, passing the 71 in a row compiled from 1994-2001.
· The Gators last regular-season setback at Linder Stadium was on April 7, 2002, when Georgia defeated Florida, 4-3.
· The streak is the longest active home win streak of any NCAA Division I women's team, in any sport
· The streak is the second-longest active home win streak on anny NCAA Division I team, trailing only the run by the Ohio State men's tennis team

· Florida boasts a remarkable 458-25 all-time home record when playing in Gainesville, including a 2-0 record this season.
123 and Counting
· Florida is 2-0 at home this season and has extended its overall program-record home winning streak of 123, which includes 21 wins in postseason play (SEC and NCAA Tournament).
· The Gators set a new standard with their 6-1 victory over Mississippi State on March 29, 2009, passing the previous record of 60.
· The last time the Gators fell at home was on May 15, 2004, in the second round of the NCAA Tournament to Miami (Fla.), 4-3.
Cercone Approaching 100-Win Milestone
· Senior Alexandra Cercone enters Wednesday's match with 98 career singles wins.
· She is two singles wins shy of becoming the 26th Gator to reach the 100-win milestone.
· The last Gator to reach the 100-singles win plateau was current senior Olivia Janowicz, who earned singles win No. 100 during the Fall.
