Young Selected to Capital One Academic All-District Team

Florida men's basketball senior Patric Young has been honored as a 2013-14 Capital One Academic All-District team member, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America this afternoon.
The Academic All-District teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom.
Young has a 3.37 GPA in Telecommunications and will graduate in May. He is currently averaging 10.6 points per game and 6.2 rebounds per game. Young has scored double-figures in seven of Florida's last eight contests and is shooting 54.4 percent from the floor.
The First-team Academic All-District honorees will advance to the Capital One Academic All-America Team ballot, where first, second and third team All-America winners will be selected later this month.
