
VIDEO: Asst. Coach David Lowery, Jaterra Bonds Provide Weekly Update

With head coach Amanda Butler out of town, assistant coach David Lowery stepped in and talked with the media as part of UF's All Sports Press Conference on Monday. As a special treat, senior Jaterra Bonds also stepped up to the podium and field questions about the Gator's eight-game win streak.
· Florida carries an eight-game win streak into this week's action when the Gators play host to Arkansas on Thursday, before playing at nationally-ranked LSU on Sunday.
· Florida is 2-0 in the SEC for the first time since the 2009-10 season.
· The last time the Gators won three-straight SEC games to start to the league schedule was during the 1997-98 season.
· Bonds was UF's leading scorer in both SEC wins last week against Mississippi State (W, 82-72) and at No. 6 Kentucky (W, 83-73).
· Bonds was named on Monday the SEC Player of the Week and www.CollegeSportsMadness.com's National Player of the Week

Florida (12-3, 2-0 SEC) returns to action on Thu., January 9, when the Gators play host to Arkansas (14-1, 1-1 SEC) in the O'Connell Center beginning at 7 p.m. ET.
Additional Hoopla for Thursday's Game
· Sock Giveaway: The first 500 fans receive a pair of blue gatorhead basketball socks.
· Campus Challenge: Elite 8: Campus Challenge is back for the 2014 conference season. Students of participating residence halls will have a chance to win great prizes throughout the tournament. Today's quarterfinal matchup is: Muphree vs. Tolbert and Keys. Students will be entered to win Publix and Best Buy gift cards and the residence hall(s) with the highest attendance will advance to the final four.
