GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Following Florida's 42-13 loss to Missouri on Saturday, Gators head coach Will Muschamp was asked some pointed questions about his future with the program.
The Gators are 3-3, 2-3 in the Southeastern Conference after losing for the second consecutive week at home. The Gators are off this week before facing No. 9-ranked Georgia (6-1, 4-1) in Jacksonville on Nov. 1.

“I'm really worried about this football team right now,” Muschamp told reporters. “I'm not concerned about things I don't have any control over.”
The loss increased the angst among Florida fans on social media about the direction of the program. In his fourth season, Muschamp is 25-19 with the Gators, highlighted by an 11-2 record in 2012 and a berth in the Sugar Bowl.
Florida Athletic Director Jeremy Foley said Monday his plan is to evaluate the Gators' progress throughout the season before coming to a conclusion about Muschamp's future.
“At the beginning of the season we said we would evaluate the season as it plays out,'' Foley said. “We will continue to do so. Our sole focus right now is supporting our coaching staff and players as they prepare for Georgia.”
Muschamp spent Monday on the road recruiting. The team is scheduled to return to practice on Tuesday.
On his Sunday television show, Muschamp said the Gators must be more productive on offense to reverse their fortunes in the season's final five games.
“We've got to identify some things that we can be consistent with offensively,” he said. “That's one thing in our first six games, we have not done anything offensively. We did against Kentucky a little bit, got some ball movement. We did against LSU at times. But against Tennessee, against Alabama and [Saturday], we couldn't get anything going.”
