Three Former Gators Named To SEC Network Announce Crew

The SEC Network has hired former University of Florida team captain Steffi Sorensen and former Gator women's basketball coaches Carolyn Peck and Carol Ross as analysts for the network's coverage of women's basketball.
Sorensen graduated from Florida in 2010 as the team's Most Valuable Player after walking on her junior season. She will provide the student-athlete perspective to the network, both on the court and in studio. Peck coached at Florida for five seasons from 2002-07 and has been an analyst on the ESPN family of networks since her departure from Florida. She will join her former coaching colleagues Gail Goestenkors and Ross at the desk. Ross coached the Gators for 12 seasons from 1990-2002 and holds the school record for victories after compiling a 247-121 (.671) record during her tenure. After recently coaching in the WNBA, she returns to the ESPN to provide SEC coaching and player perspective to the SEC Network.
The newly-launched SEC Network will air more than 60 games on television this season, with a doubleheader every Sunday and Thursday and a Women's Game of the Week every Monday. In addition, the SEC Network will carry more than 130 games as digitally exclusive SEC Network + events available on WatchESPN and SECNetwork.com. The network will also televise the first, second and quarterfinal rounds of the SEC Women's Tournament.
