After three goals in Florida's two wins last weekend, sophomore Savannah Jordan picks up her third Southeastern Conference Offensive honor, the league office released Monday morning.
| SEC Players of the Week – 10/27/14 | |
| Offensive – | Savannah Jordan , Florida |
| Defensive– | Kala Faulkner, Auburn |
| Freshman – | Taylor Braun, Kentucky |
This is the fifth week a Gator has been recognized by the league this season. Jillian Graff (Week 1-Offensive), Pamela Begič (Week 3-Offensive), Tessa Andujar (Week 8-Defensive) and Jordan (Week 7 & 8-Offensive) were earlier honorees for 2014 SEC Players of the Week.
Jordan's goals this weekend raise her SEC-leading total to 14 goals. She provided the tying and insurance goal in Florida's 3-1 win over Tennessee on Friday. She headed in the cross from Lauren Silver for UF's first goal and then scored a left-footed eight-yard shot off the through ball from Meggie Dougherty Howard. It was her third double-goal match of the season and the 10th multi-goal match of her career.
Her two goals versus Tennessee earned Jordan the Capital One Cup Impact Performer of the Week. She is the second Gator to earn that honor this month as Taylor Burke's shutout and career-high eight saves at Texas A&M earned her October's first Capital One Cup Impact Performance of the Week.
Sunday in UF's 3-0 win at LSU, Jordan scored the first goal of the match in the 23rd minute after touching in the leading pass from Havana Solaun.
Jordan leads the SEC in points (31) and goals (14). She has scored at least one goal in seven of Florida's 10 SEC matches this season.
