TROY'S TALKING
On who impressed him on day two…
“Pawel Werner was really impressive today. After his shoulder surgery a year ago, we are finally starting to see the same guy we saw a couple years ago. He's been very, very, very consistent… Also, Natalie Hinds, as we have used her in some different places. She's never been much of a backstroker, but her racing (Cal's) Missy Franklin close is a real good thing.”
On Matt Elliott's performances today…
“Matt Elliott was real good. He's a senior, he's done this before and we expect him to be more consistent and well-rounded. He's mechanically real-sound and he's done a good job so far this season.”
Head Coach Gregg Troy
SCHULTZ'S SPEAKING
On his thoughts on how the divers competed this weekend…
“I was happy with the divers overall… I think everybody dove well. For the most part, all the girls did well and Dalton Goss had a great first meet. I was really happy with Delaney Dye. I thought she did a much better job today on the three-meter and Emily Mosher did a nice job too. Even though Kahlia won, she struggled on her first four dives. So she had to come back and do what she needed to, to win the contest. Overall, I was happy with the freshman, happy with Julia Hackett and the boys today. We're doing a lot of different things than they have ever done before, and we are in that adjustment period for them, but it's paying off.”
Head Diving Coach Dale Schultz
