GAINESVILLE, Fla. – After last weekend's road wins at the other then-unbeaten Southeastern Conference teams, a pair of Gators were named the SEC Defensive and Offensive Players of the Week. Senior Tessa Andujar is the SEC Defensive Player of the Week and sophomore Savannah Jordan claims her second consecutive SEC Offensive honor, the league office released Monday morning.

| Another Gator was recognized for her performance last weekend. Senior goalkeeper Taylor Burke's shutout and career-high eight saves at Texas A&M earned her the Capital One Cup Impact Performance of the Week. | |
This is the fourth week a Gator has been recognized by the league this season. Jillian Graff (Week 1), Pamela Begič (Week 3) and Jordan (Week 7) were earlier honorees for 2014 SEC Offensive Player of the Week.
Andujar leads the Gators in assists (7) and stands second with nine points from her right outside back position. She provided an assist on both of Jordan's game-winning goals last weekend. At Arkansas with the Gators' leading 2-1, Andujar scored an unassisted goal in the 81st minute to give UF the final 3-1 margin at Arkansas. She ran down the ball outside the box, brought it toward the center and then scored on a left-footed shot to the far post upper slot. It was her first goal of the season and the fourth of her career.
The goal and an assist at Arkansas marks the first time Andujar put a notch in both the goal and assist column during her Gator career. She averages more than 72 minutes per match from her demanding outside back position.
Her play Sunday brought the following comment from former U.S. Women's National Team Coach Tony DiCicco, who was calling the match for the SEC Network.
“In my opinion, she's the player of the match,” DiCicco said. “She was so good all game long. She was a factor in other goals and buried one for herself.”
Jordan's goals this weekend raise her team-leading total to nine goals in 2014.She provided the only goal of the match in 1-0 win at No. 9 Texas A&M. Andujar fed the ball to Jordan on her angled run in the box. She took a right-footed shot that got past the goalkeeper and was headed to the far post. Aggie junior defender Karlie Mueller tried to stop the ball, but it clipped off her right foot into the goal.
Sunday at unbeaten Arkansas, Jordan scored the second goal of the match in Florida's 3-1 win when she touched in the cross from Jillian Graff with her left foot in the 35th minute.
Jordan has scored a goal in Florida's last four matches, with three of those being scored as the game-winner.
Florida now plays host to Mississippi State on Friday, Oct. 10 for the team's only match of the weekend. Match time is set for 7 p.m. at the James G. Pressly Stadium and admission is free for all Gator regular-season home matches. Watch the stream of Friday's match on SEC Network+.
It is Alumni Weekend and many members of past Gator teams will be in Gainesville for the 20-year reunion. It is also the Kicking for the Cure match, when the Gators hope to raise awareness about the fight against cancer.
